Surely we all left that behind with our lunch boxes and school books? But it can be a great way to relax and de-stress from the pressures of the day. It is almost like meditation for me. I can feel the tension leave my body, feel my muscles relax and my thoughts become calm. Click To Tweet

Because of increased interest, there are now fun and intricate coloring books designed for adults. They have everything from Mandalas to Harry Potter and beyond. Do a search on Amazon for adult coloring books. You will be astonished.

Choosing your tools

Personally, I recommend you invest in some good colored pencils. Crayola just doesn’t cut it for me. Something like Prismacolor gives you a richness and depth you won’t find in regular pencils. And they lay down so nicely. Coloring with them is truly a joy. There are also watercolor pens, markers, all kinds of tools. Choose what feels best to you.
